OVERVIEW
The Pirelli Scorpion MTRis a mud terrain all season tire manufactured for sport utility and light truck vehicles.
The tire offers first-rate all weather traction. The tread pattern and the enhanced tire compound increase the dry, wet and winter weatherRoad gripping ability. The tread design’s in-block sipes increase the wet and winter weather traction and ensure a safer driving experience all year. The wide grooves and open shoulders disperse snow from between the tread elements to prevent the tread from being blocked from its contact with theRoad surface. The wide tread grooves also prevent hydroplaning by eliminating water from beneath the tire’s footprint.
The model promotes great off-road, especially mud terrain, performance. The larger transversal grooves and theRugged tread compound ensure a safer drive on soft and looseRoad surfaces. The tire is able to maintainRoad contact while driving through mud and other loose surfaces as the tread design keeps the footprint clean. The tread lugs, open shoulders, wide grooves and staggered tread blocks clean out mud stuck between the tread elements. The stone bumpers increase the ejectionRate of the tread, which prevents stoneRetention. The better off-road traction and the constantly clean footprint guarantee a more secure driving experience.
The tire’s tread pattern improves its controllability greatly. The shoulder tread block sequences maintain theirRoad contact at all times. This improves the driving stability as the tire is secured against the driving forces affecting it. The steeringResponsiveness and accuracy are also improved with the tread design. The steering becomes quick and precise to the driver’s instructions which enhances the handling.
The model is extremely safe to use in all weather and on all surfaces. The tread compound, tread design and the model’s internal structure improve the durability. The tire compound is cut and chipResistant. The tread design extends down to the sidewalls which improves the tire’s impactResistance, while the sidewall design also protects theRims from accidental curb damage. The internal structure features a two-ply polyester casing, a two-ply nylon capReinforcement and twin high-strength steel belts that maintain the tire’s optimal shape in extreme conditions, even when the tire is deflated. This ensures a safer drive in all situations.
